THE CLUB: Our small and friendly club has an active and loyal member base that continues to grow! We run domestic tournaments throughout the year for those wishing to take part and have an internal box league to encourage competitive play amongst our membership. We also have one team participating at a county level in the Kent Priory Squash League – playing in the winter and summer campaigns – and we welcome new or existing members to enquire if interested in joining the current squad. The club places great emphasis on the social aspects of membership as well as on the competitive element. New members are always welcome and our OWA club bar opens from 8-till-late on weeknights and has a live TV sports licence, showing events on one screen opposite the bar and on a larger screen in the adjacent room. The club also has a table tennis table at its disposal, which can be used on either of the squash courts and is stored in the hallway. Courts can be booked for table tennis in the same way you would for squash and racketball. We have an online system for booking, which is fast and convenient.
FACILITIES The courts now undergo annual renovations to maintain competitiveness among other local clubs in the area, and we have recently installed class-leading LED lighting, which has dramatically improved playability + underfloor heating. This investment is part of a long-term strategy to reward our current membership, as well as attract new members to the club. We have showers, toilets and a code-locked changing room on site, as well as a club bar, which serves food some days of the week and has views and an open terrace in the summer across our cricket fields/football pitches. PRICES: Annual Membership is only £50 for adults and £25 for juniors. Once signed-up, you are also asked to pay a one-time deposit of £35 for a key and fob, which gives you entrance to the club and access to the courts and changing rooms. Our smart contactless light meters provide 45 minutes of play for £6, with additional options to extend for a bit longer if needed to finish a game (and assuming no one has a court booked after you).
